Upright Meaning
Something significant is ending — and from that ending, something new must come. The Death card rarely predicts physical death; it signals the death of an old identity, a relationship chapter, a belief, or a way of living. The grief of this ending is real, but so is what awaits on the other side. Let it go completely, and transform.
Reversed Meaning
Resistance to necessary change, clinging to what has already ended, or an incomplete transformation. The death that needs to happen has been postponed — at great personal cost. The stagnation you feel is the price of not letting go.
